Abigail willingly shares her knowledge and expertise in dealing with curriculum, matriculation, college entrance requirements and the special academic needs of the bright, precocious, and sometimes demanding students in our gifted program. She works long hours helping parents, teachers and students throughout the year. Abigail is instrumental in the implementation of college admission, college-readiness, and career plans. Yet, despite Abigail’s strong academic focus and intellectual ability, students never feel intimidated; in fact, they enjoy spending time with her and value her counsel and kindness. Under her tutelage, Abigail’s counselees have been admitted to some of the most prestigious universities in the world such as Yale, NYU, MIT, Brown and others too numerous to list here, usually with impressive financial awards. She is an invaluable asset to our school and has proven to be irreplaceable.

We have three high schoolers, plus my oldest who went to Brophy and is in college now. I can tell you without exception what we have gained from you as a counselor for 4 years now is beyond anything we gained from all their counselors combined!

You are an amazing advisor. If no one has told you today how much you’re appreciated, let me be the one. I have never had someone as dedicated as you in my corner.

Picking up my diploma today reminded me exactly how amazing you were to me during my time in high school. You were always kind… I never quite stopped to realize the effort you made for me. So, I just wanted to take a little bit of time to thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything. I really don’t know what would have happened if you hadn’t been behind the scenes for me. You are one of those people it’s impossible for me not to smile at… You have most definitely been a blessing on my journey.

Honestly, I do not know where to start, but you deserve about a million thank yous and a million pounds of chocolate. All of the older kids told us we’d really come to appreciate you senior year for college help; I can say appreciate you isn’t enough... Your office has always been a judgement free zone and a safe space. You have never let me leave your room without an answer or solution to any problem I may have – even long after I had given up hope for a solution. Very few people are as kind or qualified... Thank you.
