Do you want to help your child unlock their full potential? Need assistance with high school applications, college applications, support for learning differences, or have general K-12 education questions?
You’ve come to the right place!
Partner with me for expert guidance on your child’s educational journey. I have over 25 years of experience in education and have assisted hundreds of students and families from diverse backgrounds. I approach each student with unconditional positive regard and an understanding that every individual has unique needs. My mission is to provide customized support.
I am passionate about helping adolescents navigate their path to adulthood through a wealth of experience and a commitment to education spanning over three decades. I have two children (one tween and one teen) and have first-hand experience with the challenges of parenting. I have been a school counselor in Phoenix public schools for over 20 years, advocating for young people as an education professional and as a parent.
Arizona high school counselors often have large caseloads, averaging over 650 students per counselor. While they are a valuable resource, they may not have the time to provide the personalized attention your family deserves. Turn to AD Education Consulting for tailored, hands-on expertise to help ensure your child’s success.
Applying to high schools and colleges can be very stressful. With so many steps to navigate, it’s easy to overlook or underprepare key aspects. Here are a few areas that are often not fully addressed during preparation:
I’m here to help! Professional guidance can make a significant difference for both you and your child.
Not all students fit the traditional education mold. Whether your child has ADHD, mental health challenges, or learning disabilities, they may need a specialized approach. The same applies if your child is gifted, twice exceptional (gifted with a learning disability), or on the autism spectrum. As a parent, watching your child struggle in school can be disheartening.
You don’t have to face this challenge alone. I’m here to guide you in understanding and accessing the support your child needs, both within the school system and the wider community. Together, we’ll ensure your child receives the advocacy and needed resources.
Extremely knowledgeable and put me at ease during a stressful time. I utilized Abigail’s services to help me navigate the school when my son received an unfair suspension. She was an incredible help in navigating the red tape and bureaucracy, as well as a calming presence. I would highly recommend her for any of your needs, including looking into the possibility of a 504 for your child.
Ms. Dolin helped me complete my application for Brophy Prep. I could not have done it without her assistance. She helped me create a theme and voice through my personal essay.
Thank you. Seriously. I went to two different schools and no counselor helped me as much academically, mentally as you did. Every time I had a question, you helped me all the way. Every time I struggled, you gave me a push. I wanted to graduate early, and I was successfully able to do it, thanks to you.
Abigail willingly shares her knowledge and expertise in dealing with curriculum, matriculation, college entrance requirements and the special academic needs of the bright, precocious, and sometimes demanding students in our gifted program. She works long hours helping parents, teachers and students throughout the year. Abigail is instrumental in the implementation of college admission, college-readiness, and career plans. Yet, despite Abigail’s strong academic focus and intellectual ability, students never feel intimidated; in fact, they enjoy spending time with her and value her counsel and kindness. Under her tutelage, Abigail’s counselees have been admitted to some of the most prestigious universities in the world such as Yale, NYU, MIT, Brown and others too numerous to list here, usually with impressive financial awards. She is an invaluable asset to our school and has proven to be irreplaceable.
We have three high schoolers, plus my oldest who went to Brophy and is in college now. I can tell you without exception what we have gained from you as a counselor for 4 years now is beyond anything we gained from all their counselors combined!
You are an amazing advisor. If no one has told you today how much you’re appreciated, let me be the one. I have never had someone as dedicated as you in my corner.
Picking up my diploma today reminded me exactly how amazing you were to me during my time in high school. You were always kind… I never quite stopped to realize the effort you made for me. So, I just wanted to take a little bit of time to thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything. I really don’t know what would have happened if you hadn’t been behind the scenes for me. You are one of those people it’s impossible for me not to smile at… You have most definitely been a blessing on my journey.
Honestly, I do not know where to start, but you deserve about a million thank yous and a million pounds of chocolate. All of the older kids told us we’d really come to appreciate you senior year for college help; I can say appreciate you isn’t enough... Your office has always been a judgement free zone and a safe space. You have never let me leave your room without an answer or solution to any problem I may have – even long after I had given up hope for a solution. Very few people are as kind or qualified... Thank you.
I have a love & respect for Ms. Abigail Dolin. For years, I’ve considered her the best counselor in the State of Arizona!
It is my pleasure to recommend Abigail Dolin as an exemplary counselor and educator. Her dedication and professionalism… empowers students to reach their potential. As their counselor, she sees each student as an individual with individual needs, but she is also proactive in teaching students how to minimalize or eliminate problem areas on their own…All too often the true impact of educators is not concretely evident. Abigail Dolin’s hard work and dedication is immediately effective as students overcome obstacles in academics and in their personal lives. The effect of her diligence is long-lasting as her students not only achieve their university and career dreams but are empowered to reach beyond.
